Abbs grew up in Hong Kong. He joined Yan Tin Free Methodist Church Hong Kong in the past.
He married his wife, Shadow, in 1997. In 1999, they together decided to put down their work and studied theology. He is an alumnus of the Alliance Bible Seminary (Bth, M.Div.). Abbs served in two Baptist Churches for about thirteen years. He mainly served the Children, Youth, and Adult.
Abbs joined RHFMC in 2016 and currently serves in the Chinese Congregation. He likes hiking, singing, cooking, and reading.
Shadow Lau is originally from Hong Kong and moved to Toronto in 2016. Prior to this, she worked with two Baptist Churches for 14 years, mainly in the China Ministry.
She and her husband, Abbs, were married in 1997. After two years, they were released from their jobs and studied theology together. She is an alumnus of the Alliance Bible Seminary (M.Div., Th.M. and D.Min.).
Shadow joined RHFMC in 2016 and currently serves as a pastor in the Chinese congregation, where she provides pastoral support to adult and young couples. She loves making dessert, singing, and hiking.
Cymone was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to Canada with her parents in grade 1. She studied in the University of Waterloo and graduated with a BA(Psych) and BSW.
Prior to entering seminary, she worked in the community as a social worker who attended to youth, young adults, and those struggling with mental health issues. As part of an exchange program, Cymone received training in Hong Kong, ministering to the locals, Muslims, and the homeless population. Locally, Cymone has experience working with Canadian Born Chinese youths and China Visa students.
She is an alumnus of Tyndale Seminary, M.Div in Spiritual Formation.
Cymone has been with RHFMC since 2016, and serves the English Congregation and Children ministries. Cymone’s newly picked up hobby is playing on RHFMC’s softball team.
